With just three months left in the school year, there's a lot happening at the school!
Re-enrollment will begin April 1st!
You may expect an email this Friday with further details.
For Yamaha group parents, we will be holding parent workshops about what to expect with program progression :-)
Yamaha exam students! We hope your prep is going well!
To help you practice, there are a few complimentary resources we are offering. Please see recent emails for more information. Mr. D and Ms. Alondra have also uploaded videos on the theory basics accessible on WellnessLiving. Finally, don't forget to book your exam times! Scroll to learn more.

September 2022 Re-Enrollment |

September 2022 re-enrollment will open for individual & group students on Friday, April 1st. An email will be sent out that day with registration forms attached, as well as the Yamaha group schedule for your reference.
Please note the following deadlines:
- Current group classes and individual lesson times will be reserved until Sunday, May 1st
- Group class transfer requests will be processed starting Monday, May 2nd

Basic Theory Explainer Videos |

Our wonderful teachers have created a few basic music theory explainer videos that cover the following topics:
- Basic Rhythm
-Time Signature
- Key Signature
- Chords and Harmony
The videos are created with JMC3/JMC4, JSAC1 and YMC1-YMC3 students in mind, and are aimed to help students with an understanding of the basic theory concepts.
The videos are available to all students, and can be accessed through Student's Wellnessliving Account.

If you or your child are sick, we kindly ask that you attend online from home or rest. Group class recordings are posted within 24 hours if you wish to catch up later.

Although the provincial mask mandate has been lifted, we will continue to require masks at the school until at least April 4th as we would like to see how case numbers change in the coming week. We also ask those coming to the school to please send your Covid-19 screening tool results to goodtogo@88keys.ca or info@88keys.ca before each visit.

Yamaha Grade Exams: Time Booking & Deadlines |

Attention registered Yamaha Grade Exam students! A few reminders:
Exam time slot booking is open! Book before April 30th to pick your own time:
Exams are scheduled for June 6th and 7th from 9:30am to 3:00pm
All exams will be done in-person at 88Keys Music School with health and safety measures in place. Please reference prior email for booking instructions.
Exam withdrawal deadline is approaching:
Due to uncertainty with COVID-19 restrictions, exam withdrawals will be accepted until April 17th, 2022. Please note: There will be no refund of exam fees after April 17, 2022, unless a student must be absent due to medical reasons or a direct conflict with a school examination. Exam payments will be processed starting Monday, April 18th
Exam Repertoire Titles:
Please let us know your chosen exam repertoire pieces by Monday, May 16th

Thank you to everyone who attended the audio recordings over the March break!
We are in the second stage of recording! We kindly ask that students in participating classes record video of their respective performances playing along to the group audio track. You should have received an email with group audio track, recording instructions, and the video submissions folder linked.
Please submit your videos by April 30th, thank you! :-)

Monthly Group Classes for Ind. Piano & Yamaha Exam |

We continue to offer our individual piano students the opportunity to attend complimentary online monthly group classes with Ms. Alondra! This is our way of providing students the chance to work on musical skills beyond those typically covered in individual lessons:)
We have also opened these classes to registered Yamaha exam students to provide an extra chance to play exam pieces in front of a teacher and peers! Please see recommended level grouping below:
