Ms. Alondra and the Art Song Collaborative project, including Mr. Juro, invite your family to Cries of the Earth.
The opera aims to not only bring awareness to the climate change crisis and the plastic pollution problem, but also reproaches the pursuit of profit over the health of our planet.
Follow the story of young and naive Maria, as her fate becomes entangled with the spirits of Nature and Greed, guided by a tapestry of new 14 works woven from international voices.
**For Students**
Want to be part of the project?
We are looking for any art inspired by your thoughts on the amount of plastic waste that pollutes our planet and harms the animals.
Can you think of ways to recycle it and find new value to it?
Are there better materials other than plastic that we can use?
Are there any single use plastic that we can eliminate?
Art can include: drawings, paintings, sculptures, a piece of music, a poem a narrative, or anything else. Bring it to the school before July 18th, 2019.
Every piece of Art by students will be showcased at our 3 performances. |
