Our Yamaha students from the advanced level have been working hard to prepare their class original compositions for our upcoming Composition concert!
This year, they have been tasked with choosing a painting by the local artist and art-teacher, Natalia Ushakova, for which they wrote a story and musical piece.
Join us to watch the paintings coming to life through music!

You may remember that last year, one of our senior students volunteered to help our Yamaha students prepare for their Grade 10 and 11 exams... this year Abishan is volunteering once again! These are offered as free practice coach sessions held at the school throughout May on Mondays after 4pm!

Alondra Vega-Zaldivar: Private House Concerts |

Ms. Alondra wants to share her music with you and is now offering private house concerts for you and your loved ones!
She can schedule 45min, 1hour, or 1.5 hours any Thursday or Friday evening, or Saturday and Sunday after 4:30pm.
You get to curate the performance based on what you would like to hear: Arias from Operas, Jazz Songs, Pop Songs, or any favourite songs of yours.

Would you like your child to be part of the performance and let them play or sings pieces that they are working on? We would schedule 1.5hours where Ms. Alondra would give the child 30minutes coaching on the pieces and work out the order and then perform for you, your friends and or family. She can bring her own keyboard if necessary.

We will be offering a new ensemble group class in the 2023-2024 academic year!
Under the instruction of Mr.D, students will have the opportunity to further develop their knowledge and playing abilities for ensemble pieces, different music genres, and orchestral structure! The class is open to graduates of JAC4,6 & 6, JSAC 4, and advanced individual students.
Only our Saturday 2:20pm class has remaining seats!
To enroll, please fill out the regular JMC/YMC form noting ensemble class and
email it to us or drop by the front desk.

We are so excited to announce that we will be offering a new composition masterclass group program in the 2023-2024 academic year!
Under the instruction of our teachers Ms. Alondra and Mr.D who hold a master of music composition, students will learn everything about composing and playing the songs of their own creative imagination!!
Last Sunday we sent out an email providing course progression and schedule details!

You may have heard that we are offering a Jazz group class with Mr. Alex!
As a group, Jazz students learn how to play, improvise, and write Jazz tunes! This is a great alternative music program for students who already have some playing experience including: JAC4 & up // RCM 5 &up // PianoForte 9 & up
