QLIANCE'S DR. GARRISON BLISS TO KEYNOTE AAPP CONFERENCE IN SEATTLE 

 

Dr. Garrison Bliss, a true pioneer in the concierge medicine revolution, will share his journey during his keynote address at the upcoming AAPP Conference in Seattle, WA.   In 2007, Dr. Bliss and his colleagues at Qliance completely changed the perception of concierge medicine in Washington State, when they opened a monthly fee practice aimed at offering affordable basic medical care to most everyone.  He continues to practice medicine and frequently serves as a political advocate on behalf of the concierge industry.  His work has been recognized by his peers and national publications like The Wall Street Journal, New York Times and Medical Economics.

CELL BANKING AND REGENERATIVE MEDICINE: A GLIMPSE INTO THE FUTURE OF HEALTHCARE 

 On April 12 the AAPP hosted a webinar titled: An Introduction to Cell Banking and Regenerative Medicine.  Next Healthcare Inc. (NHC), the first company to offer personal cell banking services to patients through their physician, provided an overview of cell banking technology and the opportunity for AAPP members to bring this ground-breaking service to its patients.  NHC will be introducing its service in August 2011 exclusively through AAPP members.

 

Tom Blue, AAPP Executive Director, participated in the webinar stating that “NHC has observed that private physicians are the logical early adopter of things that will influence the future of healthcare.  This is just one example of a promising avenue of science that patients of private physicians will get the first look at.”
