AMS Speedboyz Do Work at National Endurance Race
What do you get when you give the Speedboyz (a 14 year old, 15 year old, and 30 some year old that has not grown up) a Suzuki SV650 and six hours to ride as fast and as far as they can? You get a lightweight superbike class win by over six laps and a ninth place overall at the 6th round of the Bridgestone/WERA National Series Endurance Race. Round 6 was held at Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia on August 1st, 2009. The Bridgestone/WERA National Series is contested throughout the United States on nine different tracks. Summit Point is admittedly the boy’s home track, so competing with teams from throughout the U.S. turned this race into a classic endurance race. Our 6.5 gallon tank gave us multiple strategic options and both red flags worked out to our advantage. In the end, the team covered over 416 miles in a little over five hours. There were some competitive head-to-head battles until they stretched out a comfortable lead finishing with a gap of 6 laps or 12 miles over second place. We would like to congratulate our two young guns, Eric Yurejefcic and Cassidy Heiser along with an old dog Greg Reisiniger on a job well done! We would also like to congratulate Team Rat Rocket and Team Willow Motorsports also from York, PA on their top 10 finishes.
