Dear Friends and Supporters,
This has been a month of international celebrations for us at AIP Foundation. I am proud to share that Mr. Greig Craft was awarded FIA's “Outstanding Contribution to Improving Road Safety by an Individual” Award.
As President of the Automobile Association Vietnam, Protec, and AIP Foundation, Mr. Greig Craft has been dedicating his life to reducing global deaths and injury from road crashes for over 20 years. On behalf of your colleagues from around the world, we wish to congratulate you for this prestigious award. We are honored to be a member of this truly remarkable organization you have established.
I am pleased to share the Safe Steps Kids video highlighting our journey to safer roads in school zones in Vietnam. Thank you, Prudence Foundation, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, and Global Road Safety Partnership for helping us save lives! Together, we are making a difference in improving road safety for the next generation.
On August 12, we joined global communities around the world to celebrate International #YouthDay. Development and Strategic Partnerships Manager, Mr. Jimmy Tang, and Development Assistant, Ms. Khe Nguyen are our young voices on the future of mobility. To empower our youth we must listen to them, on International #YouthDay and everyday that follows.
With support from the Australian Volunteers Program we are expanding protection for factory workers in our existing
Commuting Safety for Cambodian Workers (CSCW) program which has an intervention across 30 factories. Through this current program, we are in a unique position to deliver first-hand, life-saving personal protective equipment to vulnerable workers reducing their risk of being exposed to Covid-19 at work.
Another reason for us to smile this month was the GlobalGiving Photo Contest 2021. We participated with one of our most memorable photos in support of putting helmets into the hands of those who need it most.
As the month comes to a close and we celebrate our achievements, we look forward to the road ahead and to the work that remains.
