Capital Soccer Association & Premiere 3v3 have teamed up to bring a 3v3 National Tour Local Qualifying Tournament to the Lincoln Area.

This tournament promises to be a fun and competitive challenge for anyone looking for some exercise or the most die hard soccer players with both recreational and competitive brackets. Teams will be competing for the opportunity to advance in the National 3v3 Circuit with the opportunity to travel to Orlando’s Disney Wide World of Sports for the National Championships.

| CONCUSSION INFORMATION:
A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury that changes the way the brain normally works. A concussion is caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head or body that causes the head and brain to move rapidly back and forth.
Even a “ding,” “getting your bell rung,” or what seems to be a mild bump or blow to the head can be serious.

Abbott Summer Sports Camps
"TEACHING LIFE SKILLS THROUGH SPORTS"
The focus of the Abbott Summer Sports Camps is to establish a fun and encouraging atmosphere where your child can improve his or her skills. The emphasis of these summer camps is on improving a child's technical skill while enjoying the sport, practicing good sportsmanship, building teamwork, and teaching important life skills that the child can use on and off the field/court.
Camp Counselors:
University of Nebraska-Lincoln student-athletes team up with the sport coordinators to coach sports and activities. These student-athletes serve as positive role models while encouraging campers to reach their full potential.
Who: Youth Entering Grades K-8th in the Fall of 2012
When: 8:30am - 4:00pm

Abbott MX Endurance League
A special thanks to everyone who has came out and supported the first three rounds of the Abbott MX Endurance League. If you haven’t made it to an Endurance League event yet, we highly recommend checking out this unique event before the end of the league. The last three rounds will take place August 26th, September 16th, & October 21st.
Be sure to check out the new Abbott Motocross website (www.abbottmx.com) for all track information. The website is updated daily with track conditions. If you have any pictures or videos from the track you would like posted on our website, send them to us via email or Facebook.

Athlete Spotlight on Haley Waggoner
Haley, a 21 year old tennis player is one of the toughest competitors at Abbott. Here is what Haley has to say about herself: “I love tennis! I’ve been playing for four years with Special Olympics and with USTA tennis. My greatest accomplishment was winning a gold medal at the Special Olympics national games in 2010 in Lincoln. I also loved seeing and playing with Andy Roddick at the national games! I’ve won state gold medals and played in two USTA adaptive tennis tournaments. My goal is to try to get into Special Olympics nationals again and maybe the World Games in 2014!”
Haley really enjoys the game of tennis and is constantly looking for ways to better her game. Despite her disabilities, nothing frustrates her more than loosing a match. Haley will be competing at the Cornhusker State Games in July. This will be Haley’s first non-adaptive tournament. Haley is a true inspiration to all of us and Abbott is very thrilled with all of her accomplishments. Good luck and keep it up!
Nebraska Tennis Academy:
The 2012 Junior Summer Tennis Camp will be a fun-filled, instructional tennis camp for children ages 5-18. The camp will run Monday thru Thursday with AM and PM sessions for Quick Start, Development, Team NTA and AM sessions for High School Girls. Cornhusker State Games:
Abbott Tennis will be hosting the 2012 Cornhusker State Games for adult and juniors. To register, please complete an application form through their website www.cornhuskerstategames.com. Dates of events are as follow: Adult July 20-22 and Juniors July 25-27. Registration deadlines: Adults on July 11 and Juniors July 20.

Complex Partners with Maggie Griffin and vcNebraska for Volleyball Programming Needs
The primary feeder system of Nebraska’s top volleyball talent took a giant step forward recently when former Husker setter, Maggie Griffin, signed an agreement for her Volleyball Club Nebraska (vcNebraska) to rent the four suspended volleyball courts at the Abbott Sports Complex five nights a week for 3½ hours a night.
