Palm Springs, CA—November 30, 2010… the Greater Palm Springs Celebrity Golf Classic is proud to announce the addition of an active duty Navy SEAL team who will participate in this weekend's activities. The SEAL team members will be in uniform at the Black Tie Gala where they will be honored during the presentation of the colors. Most of the SEAL team's missions are secret. These men are the best of the best and often, because their mission operations are secret, they do not receive the recognition they have earned. They are all highly decorated veterans. We are very excited that they will be able to join us.
The 17th Annual Golf Classic to benefit the Palm Springs Youth Charities is being held from Thursday, December 2 through Sunday, December 5th.
The event, which includes 4 parties, is an annual fundraiser to provide scholarship monies through Palm Springs Youth Charities.
The event will have over 35 celebrities on hand led by this year’s Celebrity Host: Rollie Fingers, the Hall of Fame Baseball pitcher. The golf tournament will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Cathedral Canyon Golf & Tennis Club. The parties will be held each night beginning on Thursday, December 2 at the Blue Pear TexMex Bar and Cantina, 2249 N. Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs, from 5:30-9:30pm, followed by the Pairings Party and reception in honor of this year’s celebrity host and celebrities on Friday, December 3 at the Hotel Zoso, 150 South Indian Canyon Drive in Palm Springs from 5:30 – 10:00pm. The Black Tie Gala will be held on Saturday, December 4 at the Hotel Zoso with a Hollywood Revue show followed by dancing to the sounds of Pat Rizzo and his orchestra. Finally Sunday, December 5, the awards presentation will be held at the Cathedral Canyon Golf & Tennis club Clubhouse from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
There will be both a silent and live auction on Saturday night at the gala which includes a package for two to the 2011 MASTERS golf tournament at Augusta National, fur coats, paintings and Cosmetic Surgery packages.
The raffle which will be available at all of the parties has over 100 items from room nights at local hotels to gift certificates at local restaurants. You need not be present to win.
