Voting Delegates
ATTENTION VOTING DELEGATES, REFERENCE COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND CHAIR ADVISORS!
There will be an orientation meeting at 1:00 p.m. on December 27 in the Centennial Ballroom to help prepare for the start of the reference committee meetings and the Legislative Session. If you have any questions regarding your responsibilities during this process, this meeting should help answer them.
Volunteers Needed
The National Convention Steering Committee is still looking for volunteers in a variety of areas!
There are lots of opportunities for service to the Fraternity at the Convention, including greeting brothers at the Hartsfield-Jackson  Atlanta International Airport on December 26 and 27, helping with registration, setting up dances and banquets, and the Pinewood Derby, in addition to the regularly planned service projects going on during the week. To sign up for any of these and other opportunities, please write conv.volunteers@apo.org or go to http://www.tinyurl.com/atl2010volunteer.
Chapter Consultations
Join the Field Staff for a chapter consultation!
Your chapter has the unique opportunity to consult with Heather Lehman, Director of Educational Programs,or Meagan Savage, the Field Representative, about various issues facing your chapter. They will be able to work with the chapter leaders to promote opportunities for growth. Heather and Meagan can help chapters develop programs that will aid in the recruitment of new members and the retention of their existing members.  They will assist the chapters to provide leadership opportunities for their members. As part of each consultation, an individualized plan for building a healthier chapter or extension group will be provided.  Come by the Field Rep Consultation Room in Gibraltar. A sign up sheet will be posted outside the room with available meeting times.
Social Media Use
The best way to stay up-to-date at all times during convention!
The 2010 National Convention will take advantage of social media advancements by handling all room changes and announcements on the Fraternity's APOStaff Twitter account and the Facebook page at Facebook.com/AlphaPhiOmega.USA. If you would like to help make brothers who were unable to attend feel like they are a part of the Convention, tweet or comment your experience using the hashtag #APONC2010. Brothers will be able to follow that hashtag and stay up-to-date.

This year the Fraternity will also be introducing location-based social media into the Convention through the 2010 National Convention SCVNGR Trek! SCVNGR allows subscribers to check in to various locations and perform challenges for points. Keep your eyes on the lookout for more information on this fun social media twist!

Handy Registration Information
  • Before entering the registration room complete and turn in a Personal Information Form
  • After entering the registration room—Regency VII Ballroom—Name badges and tickets are in individual chapter folders which are in alphabetic order by the first name of your school (check signage when you enter the room). Go to that line and give the attendant the name of your school. Your chapter’s folder will be pulled from a file—check your (one-page) sheet to make sure it is correct. It will then be scanned by an attendant and you will sign a form that you have picked up your personal sheet. Next, proceed to the area where you will pick up your convention backpack (also clearly marked). Please exit the room after you complete this process so the room doesn’t become crowded and confusing to others trying to find their line.

Voting delegates will follow the same procedure EXCEPT their backpack will be picked up in the area marked “Rules & Credentials.”  These delegates will also sign a voting delegate register at this table, before leaving the room.

New registrations will go to the tables for “New Registrations” (if not previously registered).

Having problems with your registration process? Is your chapter in good standing?  Proceed to the row of chairs in the designated “Problems?” area and help will be provided on an individual basis.
