Alpha Phi Omega is excited to see our chapters participate in National Service Week November 2-8, 2014. This annual event unites brothers around a common theme for inspiring service. This year the focus is “Respect for Others,” part of our larger theme for 2013-2014 of “Respect to All.”

Submit Charter Reaffirmation and AAMD Through the Chapter Officer Portal

The deadline for Charter Reaffirmations and Active Annual Membership Dues (AAMD) is quickly approaching. Stay on top of ongoing chapter business in the Officer Portal (OP) to avoid the stress of last minute updates.

Below is a list of important tasks that are due by November 15 and can be handled through the OP:

• 2014-15 Charter Reaffirmation and AAMD
  
• National Service Week Report
  
• 2013-2014 Final Youth Service Grant Project Report (if applicable)
• H. Roe Bartle Award application

Remember that Reaffirmation, AAMD and required reports impact your chapter's good standing with the Fraternity. With the National Convention coming up in December, it is important to keep up with chapter business.

Get Money for Your Chapter from our Shop2Care Partnership

APO has partnered with Shop2Care, a nonprofit online shopping program, to help your chapter easily earn money! Your chapter will earn a dollar for each new person who registers and downloads the Shop2Care browser app now through January 31, 2015.

NEW: There will be a bonus period November 18-December 2 where chapters can earn $2 per person who downloads the app. Plan your outreach now to take advantage of this offer next month!

Here's what your chapter needs to know:

• Get as many people as possible to sign up and download the browser app by January 31, 2015, using the partner site here
• Each person who registers must do so under your chapter (using the school name in the drop down options) and they must complete the download for you to get credit
  
• The top three chapters who have the most people sign up and download the app will earn extra money up to $1,000
• Those who register can shop online as they normally would and have a rebate from their purchases go to charity thanks to Shop2Care

Service Opportunity with CDC

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is sponsoring Contact Lens Health Week November 17-21, 2014. Young adult contact lens wearers are at a higher risk for eye infections associated with improper contact lens use. Your chapter can help by promoting healthy contact lens wear and care on campus.
