APO Announces Official Relationship with Youtopia.com

Get to know Alpha Phi Omega's newest partner, YouTopia! Youtopia is a member engagement platform that provides instant access to plug-and-play gamification tools (points, badges, and leaderboards) that incentivizes pledges, chapter members and alumni to become more engaged in their chapter, campus, community and the Fraternity. Youtopia matures with students from pledge status through initiation and beyond graduation. Now chapter officers of APO have a fun and easy way to inspire their members to do all of the good things they want them to do; a way to acknowledge their hard work; and a way to reward them for going above and beyond. YouTopia is a great resource for chapter members and alumni!

Want to learn more about how you and your chapter might benefit from Youtopia? Attend the webinar " Exploring Youtopia " on Wednesday, February 20 at 9 p.m. CST.   Register NOW for this webinar  presented by the Youtopia Team. They will take you on a tour of the site and go over the benefits Youtopia provides to the brothers of Alpha Phi Omega!

Mu Alpha Chapter at Georgetown University in Washington D.C., hosted its first-ever organ registration drive to encourage students to become organ downers. Great job brothers!

As you are reading this, approximately 100,000 people are waiting to hear if they will receive a critical organ transplant that they desperately need. With the help of the Eye Bank Association of America, the Mu Alpha Chapter at Georgetown University launched its first ever organ registration drive to encourage students to become organ donors. Over the course of two weeks in October 2012, Mu Alpha brothers passed out flyers, manned informational tables, and directed students to APO4hope.org - an incredible online resource set up for us by the EBAA that made the registration process fast and simple. "It was so surprising to see how many students were not registered as an organ donor but were interested in doing so. Registering just one donor can save up to seven lives- it's hard to find a project that takes so little time yet makes such a huge impact!" - Tom Barnes, Mu Alpha chapter president.

If your chapter is interested in holding an organ registration drive, contact Kevin Corcoran (Kevin@restoresight.org) at the Eye Bank Association of America today!
