Dear Subscriber

The Fraternity's 41st Biennial National Convention will commence in 62 days in Atlanta, and we hope to see you there! There is no better way to spend your winter break than with your Alpha Phi Omega family learning, serving and enjoying the great city of Atlanta.

While planning your trip to the National Convention, be sure to verify with that your chapter has turned in its charter reaffirmation, AAMD and insurance fees with your chapter officers. All of these things impact your chapter's "good standing" and its voting delegates at the National Convention and there are still a number of chapter missing these important documents and fees.

In this newsletter, you will find information on discounted travel to the Convention, links to proposed legislation, Roll Call information, and much much more. Start planning your trip TODAY! Remember: Early registration ends November 8 and with it, the discounted value packages.

See you in Atlanta, brothers!

2010 Atlanta National Convention Roll Call

It's time to start creating chapter roll call videos for the 2010 Atlanta National Convention. Videos will be hosted on the APO Roll Call Atlanta 2010 YouTube Group hosted on the APONationals Channel this year.

Each chapter will submit one Roll Call video for the 2010 National Convention. Videos should be no more than 30 seconds in length and must include "APO [Chapter Name] NC2010" in the title. Please remember to follow appropriate Risk Management guidelines in designing your Roll Call, and remember, use good taste-if you don’t want your mom to see it, then we probably don’t want to see it either! Videos that do not follow the 30 second rule or are deemed inappropriate will not be accepted. Each submission will be judged on overall creativity, spirit, teamwork and presentation.

The deadline for submission is MIDNIGHT on NOVEMBER 25, 2010.

Maintaining Recruitment Throughout the Year

At this point, most chapters’ big recruitment push has past for the semester; however, that does not mean that you have to stop recruiting new members! There are many activities that chapters do throughout the semester, that are the same as the events they do for recruitment. Why not turn those mid-semester events into recruitment events and get a head start on recruiting for next semester!
