 Bipolar Angels
          bipolar angels

I would like to introduce you to a new non-profit organization. Bipolar Angels is only 6 months old but I think you will agree that their mission is admirable. They provide certain items at little or no cost to families of children with Bipolar, Autism and/or ADHD who would not otherwise be able to afford these items. Typical equipment provided includes weighted blankets, lappads, vests, wrists braces, neck wraps, stuffed animals and sensory toys. (Other items may be considered)

Bipolar Angels has already helped 41 kids receive needed items. We are posting their info for a few reasons. First, we would like to see this organization grow. Second, we know that some of you receiving this may have a specific need that Bipolar Angels can help with. Finally, we also feel that some of you may know of donors who might wish to help fulfill wishes.

So please join BPChildren in welcoming Bipolar Angels to the community! http://bipolarangels.wordpress.com/

No Need to Hide

Canada is dedicating a stamp to the topic of mental illness. There are several nice designs but I really like this one by Brian from Mind Your Mind. I feel that it is a powerful statement about the stigma associated with mental illness. I would be proud to put this on a letter ... if I lived in Canada, of course!! Kudos to Brian for being chosen as a top finalist. BPChildren hopes your design wins. Would you like to view all the finalists, vote for your favorite and rate them?
