Important Message to Institutions in the United States
Regarding Health Insurance Coverage

February 10th, 2015

Dear Institutional Partners,

CBIE would like to inform you that we sent a message to all Libyan sponsored students on February 9, 2015 regarding possible disruption in health insurance coverage, noting that CBIE is encouraging students to begin exploring alternative insurance coverage options in the event that insurance funds are not received by the end of February. As such, Libyan sponsored students may be approaching you or your colleagues on campus to learn more about the university insurance plan.

Unfortunately, there are many questions that we are not able to answer at this time. For example, can the university insurance plan be included on the tuition invoice to CBIE, or should students be billed directly for the university insurance plan? CBIE hopes to be in a better position to address questions such as these later this month. We appreciate your patience and understanding in the meantime.

As well, we would like to inform all institutions that on February 5, CBIE sent a message to nominated students who are still in Libya informing them that due to delays in receiving funds from Libya, CBIE has temporarily placed activations for all new students on-hold until further notice.

We will continue to post updates on our website, as they become available.

Sincerely,
The Libyan-North American Scholarship Program
