Dear Libyan Students in North America,

This message is a follow up to a previous update by CBIE sent on September 24th, 2013 . You will be pleased to learn that CBIE has officially received the fourth quarter list from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. We are currently in the process of recording the names on the list into our database.

Due to the urgency of the task, all available team members are involved in this process, so we kindly ask students to refrain from calling/emailing to ask if your name is on the list, as this will only delay the process. Based on our initial review of the list, we are anticipating the number of discrepancies in the lists to be reduced.

Academic Managers will be in a position to respond to urgent individual questions later this week once the names have been entered and allowances prepared for the release.

CBIE anticipates receiving the Quarter 4 MLA funds from the Ministry at the end of this week, at which time we will be in a position to release the October MLA to eligible students. Students who have not been included on the Quarter 4 list should expect to be notified directly, therefore, it is not necessary to contact your Academic Manager to inquire about your funding status.

Please note that CBIE will continue to work closely with the Scholarship Department at the Ministry to amend any remaining/outstanding discrepancies on the lists (from Quarter 2, Quarter 3, and Quarter 4). We will keep you apprised of any new developments as they occur.
