No More Construction!
That's right, after barely hanging on for 9 months of brutal construction in the Raymond University Ave. area, our "leg" of the Central Corridor Light Rail is complete.
And Caribe is still standing.
It didn't come without it's costs, however. And although we're not out of the woods yet from the financial loss over this past year, things are finally looking up. These past two weeks have been busier than ever, thanks, in part to an article, "Caribe Derailed," that ran in the Pioneer Press recently.
Pioneer Press Tech writer (and Caribe regular), Julio Ojeda-Zapata also wrote commentary on Caribe's situation recently.
To those who showed up at our door in response to that article, we thank you.
To those regulars who helped keep Caribe afloat during construction; we can't express our gratitude enough.
And to those who understandably have been avoiding the Raymond-University area because of the backed-up traffic: the traffic is flowing again, streets are open, construction...is...done! Come rediscover Raymond Ave. again. Not just Caribe, but a whole host of little shops and eateries. We love our business neighbors and want them to succeed, too!
We look forward to whatever 2012 dishes out!
