As fall turns to winter, the holiday season will be upon us once again. That also means  students are at the halfway point in their school year. In refclecting on the first four months of the school year we realize there has been a growing energy around education reform and we will continue to harness and cultivate that energy to ensure every child in Missouri receives a world class education.

 Execellence in Action

  Recently the staff from the Children’s Education Alliance of Missouri traveled to San Francisco for the two day Excellence in Action Conference hosted by the Excellence in Education Foundation. From of the dozens of topics covered, four common themes that all education reformers should keep in mind emerged. Because Missouri is poised to make bold moves to improve the quality of education, I thought now would be a great time to share some of these themes with Missouri’s education reformers.

What's Going on in Other States

As we here in Missouri wait for the outcome of our own “Parent Trigger” of sorts to play out in the Turner vs. Clayton Case, other states are busy trying to pass or implement a more traditional “Parent Trigger”.
