 Chain Law Carry Requirements Start Wednesday, September 1st
As a reminder, the requirement to carry adequate chains on I-70 between Morrison and Dotsero begins Wednesday, September 1st.

 Pinnacol Risk Management Symposium Registration - NOW OPEN
Pinnacol's 2021 Risk Management Symposium is now registering customers to attend our virtual conference.
The virtual conference is scheduled for Thursday September 16, 2021.
CMCA customers can receive up to 2 safety group training credits for attending more than 2 hours of the conference.

Dear ATA Family:
Your help is needed! With Hurricane Ida making landfall in Louisiana and continuing to cause damage across the Gulf Coast with wind gusts well exceeding Category 5, we are asking our trucking family to not only keep those affected in your thoughts and prayers, but also to help ATA and our Trucking Cares Foundation coordinate relief efforts, either through cash donations, relief supplies or donated transportation.
We are working closely with the Louisiana Motor Transport Association and Mississippi Trucking Association, and will be sending ATA’s trucks with much needed supplies as soon as cleared to do so. We are also working with the American Logistics Aid Network (ALAN) coordinating donated transportation.
If you are able to donate to ATA’s efforts to help those affected in Louisiana and Mississippi, please let us know. You can make a financial donation through Trucking Moves America Forward at www.trucking.org/idarelief. We will coordinate efforts on behalf of our ATA membership. In addition, our America’s Road Team Captains are poised to represent the industry in safely delivering these goods.

 Know Before You Go...
- Full Nightly Closure EB I-270 Ramp from SB I-25 CDOT will close the southbound Interstate 25 ramp to eastbound I-270 for five nights from Sunday, August 29 to Thursday, September 2. The ramp will be closed each night from 9 p.m. and reopen by 5 a.m. the next morning. The closures are necessary so crews can repair the bridges that connect the interstates. Detour signage will be in place to route motorists to a recommended alternate route.
- US 50 Little Blue Creek Canyon in MONTROSE & GUNNISON COUNTIES –Regularly scheduled road closures will begin on September 1. Labor Day Weekend-US 50 will be OPEN to two-way traffic beginning Friday, September 3 at NOON through the Labor Day weekend. Regularly scheduled roadway closures begin Tuesday at 8:30 AM on September 7. Visit project website for more info.
- US 160 to close for 5 nights. Starting Monday, September 13th through Friday the 17th (5 nights), there will be a full closure of US 160 near Chimney Rock National Monument and Lake Capote (MP 127 to 127.4). The closure is scheduled from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., daily. Motorists are asked to use an alternate route during closure hours. A detour is not available. Visit website for more details.
- The emergency truck ramp on West Vail Pass located near Mile Point 182 will close Monday, Aug. 9, and remain closed for about three months while the ramp is reconstructed. The next closest emergency ramp on Vail Pass is located at Mile Point 185.5. This ramp reconstruction is being done as part of the I-70 West Vail Pass Auxiliary Lanes Project.
Hot Brake Cooling Vail Pass: The two locations we are pointing drivers to use are the MP 190 interchange ramps or the wide shoulder at MP 184 as a place where they can cool their brakes before proceeding WB. We have construction signs along I-70 for drivers. Attached is a PDF with our plan for the brake cool down areas.
