I-70 Eagle County Bridge Repair Project Update Between Wolcott and Edwards at MP 158.85

EAGLE COUNTY– The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) announces Aug. 20 as the projected project completion date on the Interstate 70 (I-70) Eagle county bridge repair project, between Wolcott and Edwards, Colorado.

The current cross-over detour is a two-way configuration in the westbound lanes of I-70 that will end on Aug. 6. The cross-over detour removed all traffic from the bridge shortening the project and minimizing the impacts to the travelling public. For the remainder of the project, east and westbound I-70 will have one-lane closures with a reduced speed limit.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS 

From August 6-16, east and westbound I-70 will have one-lane closures with a reduced speed limit of 45 mph. From August 16-20 to periodic east and westbound I-70 one-lane closures are anticipated.
