Safety Awards Nominations – DUE FEBRUARY 28th
The Safety Management Council of the Colorado Motor Carriers Association is pleased to provide Safety Awards Nominations.
Click here for nomination forms for your drivers, safety personnel and fleet.
This is a great opportunity to recognize your company, drivers and safety professionals for their dedication to highway safety. Please read the enclosed information carefully, as some changes have been made. Awards will be presented at the Safety Awards Banquet to be held April 12, 2019.
All forms need to be returned to the Colorado Motor Carriers Association
by February 28, 2019 to be eligible. If you have any questions about the Competition, please call Patti Gillette at (303) 433-3375, extension 104.

TopTech Competition
The 2019 Colorado State TopTech Skills Competition will be held on Saturday April 27, 2019 at the Lincoln College of Technology campus, 11194 E. 45th Ave. Denver CO 80239.

CMCA Member Passes Away
Longtime truck driver, Bill Lee, passed away last week. Bill started his career with Navajo and for the last 25 years, drove for Marten Transport. Over his career, Bill accumulated 3.5 million accident-free miles.
Services will be held on January 22, 2019 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church (2361 E 78th Avenue, Denver, CO 80229).
Viewing will be a the church from 10:15am to 11:00am, followed by Mass at 11:15am.
A reception and lunch will follow at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229.
Bill will be buried with full Military Honors at Ft. Logan Cemetery on 1/23/19.
Condolences for his mother Pat, and siblings MaryAnne, Connie, John, Mike and Joe may be sent to 429 Longspur Drive, Brighton, CO 80601.

What:On Jan. 6, 2019, the I-25 North Express Lanes Project team will close the southbound lane on the SE Frontage Road from Colorado Highway 402 to County Road 16. The SE Frontage Road will be used as a temporary northbound I-25 off-ramp to CO 402 while maintaining the northbound direction. In addition, the on-ramp from CO 402 to northbound I-25 will be relocated to the SE Frontage Road north of CO 402 at the River Ranch Parkway intersection. These traffic shifts will be in place until the intersection is opened in its final configuration in fall 2019.
For more efficient commercial vehicle access, take the southbound SE Frontage Road 1.8 miles south to Colorado Highway 60 for northbound and southbound I-25 access.
