Travel Alert | US 6 Loveland Pass planned closures
US 6 Loveland Pass: Planned closures weeknights starting Tuesday, January 17 through mid February. Loveland Pass will close each night between 1 am and 6 am for winter maintenance and operations activities. Hazmat trucks will be escorted through the Eisenhower tunnel at the top of each hour during closure hours.
The following HAZMAT designations are not allowed through the Eisenhower Tunnels at any time:
1.1-1.5 Explosives
2.3 Inhalation Hazards
4.3 Dangerous when wet materials
5.2 Organic Peroxides
6.1 Poisonous Inhalation hazards
7 Higway Route Controlled Quanity Radioactive
