Warning Letters from DOT Service

A number of our members have received a stern warning letter threatening fines of up to $10,000.  Click here to see a sample letter.  Please ignore this letter, and other correspondence like it.

DOT Service is NOT part of the federal government, and has NO authority to write violations or levy fines.

This particular letter is being sent to thousands of motor carriers who may not have an updated MCS-150 on file with FMCSA.   MCS-150s (your biennial update) must be done every 24 months according to the schedule put forth by FMCSA.

If you receive one of these letters, feel free to call Patti at 303-433-3375, ext. 104, and she can help you double check and update your online profile.

Additionally, you can check your own profile by logging into your SMS profile and click on “Carrier Registration Details” near the bottom of the first page.  Your reported mileage should be from either 2017 or 2018.

 Festivi-tees deadline is July 10th...
