Virtual Safety Awards Announcement
Due to ongoing scheduling issues due to COVID, we have decided to announce our 2019/2020 Safety Award recipients via video.

We have put together a short presentation that announces all our driver, fleet and safety awards. We still hope to have an in-person presentation at a banquet this fall, but we wanted to get the word out so we can all help “Celebrate Safety” and give our recipients the recognition they deserve.

Join us for the virtual Safety Awards announcement by clicking HERE.

HIGHLY Recommended – Renew your CDL / CLP / HME!

CMCA highly recommends that all eligible drivers who have CDLs and CLPs (including endorsements) that expired between March 1st and June 30th renew their credentials on-line or by appointment.  With the legal extensions running out August 31st, we anticipate a large backlog of processing time and limited access to appointment times as availability books up.

Please encourage your drivers to renew ASAP to limit potential downtime due to expired licenses.

Drivers can make appointments here.

Eligible drivers can renew online here.

Please contact Patti at patti@cmca.com if you run into any issues.

All About DOT
Off-site Audits

NATMI Webinar - Wednesday, July 29, 2020 11:00 AM MST / 1:00 PM EST

In 2019, the number of remote DOT off-site audits increased by more than 400% over 2018 numbers, and data through Spring of 2020 shows they are on pace to double this year. And, this is before COVID-19 added social distancing to the national lexicon. With everyone, including FMCSA and its law enforcement partners, looking for ways to stay safe and efficient, the number of off-site DOT audits will continue to increase.

Join NATMI and Scopelitis Transportation Consulting on this new webinar that will explain in detail how FMCSA and its State enforcement partners conduct off-site DOT compliance audits remotely. The webinar content was developed by STC from FMCSA’s safety auditor/investigator training manual and includes:

· What triggers an off-site audit

· How the off-site audit process works

· The CSA BASICs and compliance areas most likely to be “off-site” audited

· Details on the number of records audited during off-site audits

· How the records are selected, and

· Much more...

This webinar will be delivered by industry regulatory and enforcement expert, Dave Osiecki, President of Scopelitis Transportation Consulting.

Cost: Members - $19.99 / Non-members - $29.99

Colorado Mask Order

On July 16, 2020 an Executive Order put in place a requirement for all to wear masks in public places.

According to the Executive Order, Public Indoor Space means any enclosed indoor area that is publicly or privately owned, managed, or operated to which individuals have access by right or by invitation, expressed or implied, and that is accessible to the public, serves as a place of employment, or is an entity providing services.

There are a few exemptions to this rule. Those, along with more information can be found HERE.

CMCA has a limited quantity of white, cotton masks available free of charge if you need some for your employees. Contact patti@cmca.com for more information.

NOTE: Please know that many national Truck Stop Chains are also requiring Drivers to wear masks.  Please make sure your drivers have appropriate PPE when out on the road
