US 6 Clear Creek and Summit Counties
Clear Creek and Summit COUNTIES — The Colorado Department of Transportation's
Whole System-Whole Safety program to improve US 6 will begin on June 17, 2019. The work will take place on US 6 near Loveland Pass and will greatly enhance safety for travelers and recreationists on this two-lane highway. The project was contracted to APC Southern Construction, of Golden, for $4.6 million dollars and is expected to be completed in October 2019.
The project will include culvert replacement, milling and pavement overlay, guardrail replacement, and new pavement markings on 11.2 miles of US 6. The improvements are part of a statewide initiative to provide functional accessibility to all travelers using our State and US highways.
