What: I-270 Critical Bridge Replacements Alternative Delivery Public/Industry Virtual Meeting

When: Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 5:30 p.m.– 6:50 p.m.

Where: Virtual (interactive online meeting using Zoom)

CDOT invites you to join us for an update on the upcoming I-270 Critical Bridge Replacements Project. On the I-270 corridor, there are eight (8) structures within a one-mile stretch between York St. and Vasquez Blvd. that have been in service for over 50 years and have been requiring frequent emergency deck repairs. These emergency deck repairs always require lane closures which severely impact travel times and cause traffic to detour out-of-direction via I-70 and other local routes. Bridge inspections rated 6 of the 8 bridges in this one-mile segment as ‘poor’, which made them eligible for Bridge & Tunnel Enterprise (BTE) funding for full replacement.

This meeting will exclusively focus on the I-270 Critical Bridge Replacements Project and will include a presentation beginning at 5:30 p.m. on the project alternative delivery method selection process and alternative delivery method recommendation followed by a question and answer (Q&A) session with a panel of CDOT project team members.

To participate in this virtual meeting, you must register in advance using the following link:

CO 13 Rio Blanco Hill Widening Project

Work May 23-27
The CO 13 Garfield County Rio Blanco Hill Widening Project will reconstruct and improve safety on CO 13. Safety improvements will include widening of the road, as well as embankment and drainage work. These improvements are designed to give motorists wider roads to travel on during inclement weather, higher traffic volumes, and to prevent road erosion. The resurfacing and widening will create smoother pavement and improved driving conditions, and adding chain up areas will significantly improve safety for travelers when weather conditions suddenly change.
Rockfall mitigation work on CO 9 north of Silverthorne this week
Motorists should plan for 20-minute intermittent holds
SUMMIT COUNTY — On Monday, May 23, the Colorado Department of Transportation will begin rockfall mitigation work on Colorado Highway 9 approximately 15 miles north of Silverthorne. Work will take place near Green Mountain Reservoir, from Mile Point 120 to 123. The area is located about 14 miles south of Kremmling. Work will take place Monday through midday Thursday, May 26. Motorists should plan for intermittent, 20-minute closures to allow crews to safely conduct scaling and hauling operations. The roadway will be open during non-working hours.
