Flood and Peterson Receives Inaugural 2019 Large Agency of the Year Award


Flood and Peterson is pleased to announce that they have received the 2019 Large Agency of the Year Award from the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Colorado. The award is given annually by PIIAC through peer nominations and subsequent voting within the industry. Flood and Peterson competed alongside a total of 300 member agencies representing 520 storefronts and 2,500 independent agents within Colorado. The Large Agency award was a new category just created this year. The award was received by Flood and Peterson at the Annual PIIAC Convention in Blackhawk. “We are honored and humbled to have received PIIAC’s inaugural Large Agency Award for 2019. It is a fantastic achievement to be not simply awarded but to be equally voted for by our peers. I am proud of all of our employees for their hard work and dedication,” says Brett Kemp, President of Flood and Peterson. Flood and Peterson has office locations in Denver, Greeley and Fort Collins.

Partnership with Capacity Trucks breaks Intermountain Trailer into a new market

November 1, 2019 – Capacity Trucks has expanded into the Intermountain West with a new partnership. As Capacity’s newest partner, Intermountain Trailer, one of the largest semi-trailer dealerships in the American West, is able to offer clients an expanded product lineup. Enhance Safety for Your Older Employees


When you look across your workforce, do you think it’s aging? If so, you’re not alone. The Bureau of Labor Statistics tells us one in four workers in 2020 will be age 55 or older. That’s well more than the one in 10 workers in 1990.

Employees over the age of 55 experience arthritis and hypertension, affecting 47% and 44% of these workers, respectively. An even greater percentage — more than 75% — live with at least one chronic health condition.  Read More...

One Month Left to Nominiate a CMV Driver for CVSA's International Driver Excellence Award

The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance is accepting applications for the International Driver Excellence Award (IDEA), an annual award that recognizes the careers of extraordinary professional commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers and their commitment to public safety.

 

The 2020 IDEA winner will receive:

  • A check for $2,500
  • A crystal trophy
  • Airfare for the winner and one guest to San Antonio, Texas
  • Two-night hotel stay at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio

The winner will be announced in March 2020 and presented with his or her award during the general session at the CVSA Workshop in San Antonio on April 20, 2020.

 

Nominees must have:

  • At least 25 cumulative years of crash-free driving in a commercial motor vehicle with a clean driving record for the past three years
  • No felony convictions
  • No safety-related driving suspensions in the past three years
  • No driver violations in the past three years, excluding form and manner violations

The deadline for nominations is in just one month, on Friday, Dec. 13. Completed nomination packets must be received in full by the deadline.
