CDOT and CSP alert truckers of eastbound runaway ramp closure on US 50 Monarch Pass

Semi-truck drivers urged to take extra safety precautions while the ramp is inoperable, September through October

Traffic Impacts
The speed limit for eastbound traffic will be reduced to 25 mph. CDOT urges commercial truck drivers and passenger vehicle drivers to use extreme caution when traveling eastbound on the east side of the pass. Most work will take place off of the highway, with only limited traffic stops to accommodate periodic movement of equipment or materials.  Read More...

The purpose of the week is to provide an opportunity to celebrate the hard work and commitment of the professional technicians of the trucking industry. Across America, professional technicians play one of the most demanding and important roles in trucking. TRUCKING INDUSTRY ASKED TO RANK TOP CONCERNS

 

Atlanta, GA – The American Transportation Research Institute, the trucking industry’s not-for-profit research organization, today launched the 2022 Top Industry Issues Survey.  The annual survey asks trucking industry stakeholders to rank the top issues of concern for the industry along with potential strategies for addressing each issue.

 

Now in its 18th year, ATRI’s annual analysis not only ranks the issues overall but also provides insights into how critical topics are ranked differently by motor carriers and professional drivers.  The report also allows stakeholders to monitor issues over time to better understand which issues are rising, or falling, in criticality.
