The Regional Air Quality Council (RAQC) is pleased to announce the release of the ALT Fuels Colorado vehicle grant application. At this time, the RAQC is offering funding to incentivize the purchase or lease of new Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), class 2 - 8, compressed natural gas (CNG), propane (LPG), electric (EV), and CNG bi-fuel vehicles.
APPLICATION MATERIALS
The application guide, application and other grant resources can be found on the ALT Fuels Colorado Homepage on the Clean Air Fleets website. Please note that all applications must be submitted electronically here.
TRANSIT CLARIFICATION
Please note that this application includes a clarification of the definition of transit. Transit is now defined as a regular, continuing shared-ride surface transportation service that is open to the general public or open to a segment of the general public; or any transportation service contracted by a transit agency.
While transit vehicles and vehicles contracted through a transit agency are ineligible, the following services have been exempted and are eligible: intercity bus, charter bus, school bus, sightseeing, inter-terminal or intra-facility shuttle, and courtesy shuttle services for patrons of specific establishments. With this clarification, the RAQC expects that entities previously unable to apply will be eligible. Examples of eligible entities may include a taxi company or a bus company that travels between two cities.
