Have you reserved your spot?
Consecration Sunday is coming NEXT Sunday. We will join together for one service and communion at 10:30 AM followed by a Celebration lunch catered by Buster's Barbeque. Are you lickin' your lips already? We need you to reserve your spot so we have plenty of food for everyone to enjoy. The meal consists of BBQ brisket & chicken breasts, BBQ beans, green salad, rolls, brownies and beverages.
Why all the fuss? We are celebrating, together, our devotion to God, where He leads us and what He has blessed us with.
Reservation cards will be handed out this Sunday or you can reply to this email to let us know you are coming. Please indicate the number of adults and children (3-12 years old). We look forward to celebrating the day with you!

Special thanks to our faithful servants...
Last week it was announced that Lois Bizieff, Nursery Coordinator and Joanne Hauseman, Children's Ministry Director are retiring after each serving several years in their positions. We look forward to celebrating their years of devotion at our June 3, 2012 Congregational Meeting. In the mean time, a children's ministry task force has been formed and has already met once to plan the future needs and direction of our young ones. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Pastor David at

A note from Joanne...
To My ChristChurch Family,
As announced on Sunday, I am stepping down as Children’s Ministry Director at the end of June. It has been a privilege and honor to serve the entire community and most especially the children.
I want to thank all the teachers, assistants, VBS directors and other volunteers.
Although there have been many changes at ChristChurch throughout my tenure one thing has not changed: the overwhelming warmth and generosity of all who have contributed to the success of the children’s program.
My plans involve taking some of the summer off, but I will be back in the Fall pursuing different areas of interest at ChristChurch.
In Christ,
Joanne

RECAP from Student Ministry
By Brent Masterson
EGGSTRAVAGANZA
The month of April really became the month where dreams came to fruition. It started with the Eggstravaganza. Where we fed over 225 people in and around the Rock Creek community and then led an army of kids varying in age from 3 years old to 10+ outside to the beautiful sun to search for the treasure eggs. I really enjoyed watching the different ages because they responded so differently to the fields covered with plastic eggs. I loved the reaction of one little girl that couldn’t have been four years old yet. She ran out to the very first egg she could find and just was elated to have gotten that plastic egg. She stood there and stared at the egg for a solid minute before her dad came over to get her to start the hunt for egg number two. As he took the egg to put in her basket she sat down right where she stood and started crying until dad gave her back the egg. I also related with one dad as he pulled his 5 years old son out of the group before I yelled go. He pointed to the field and said, “Okay son, most kids are going to start with this first row of eggs, so what you need to do is run as fast as you can to the end of the field and work your way back to front.” What a great strategy and it paid off because he had a full bag within the first minute of the hunt. ALL-NIGHTER
The month of big turn outs continued to our Sky High AllNighter! This was the first event that Chris Parker planned and I just want to use this platform to say thank you and say what an amazing job he did. The event started with a dinner for the whole family that continued into games. We had almost 90 people there to join in the taco bar and laughter. We opened this event to our 5th graders since they will be joining Crew here in a few months. They brought such exuberance and joy to our group. For me, this was my first time meeting a lot of them and what a way to do so. We rocked out to some Taylor Swift and my fav, Justin Beiber then played games with our families.
After the dinner and a game of Two Truths and a Lie, we headed out to Sky High. We took just over 60 to the giant warehouse of trampolines. We had some amazing acrobatic moves going on through the air as kids jumped 10 plus feet in the air into a giant pit of foam blocks. A lot of kids spent their night at the dodge ball zone, which was crazy cause I have a hard enough time dodging balls in the church gym but while flying through the air on trampolines seemed like a recipe for disaster. However, our kids proved to be much more coordinated than I, not a big surprise, and they were pulling of some impressive shots. Finally there was the large area of trampolines where you could literally bounce off the walls. (read more)
