Congregational Gathering - January 26th after Worship
On October 27th, your Church Council members shared their concerns with the community about our current financial realities and invited you to participate in discerning the best path to follow to lead us from surviving to thriving and from maintenance to mission. Many of you attend the forums that followed in November. You asked good questions and offered valuable insights. I, along with your Church Council, now invite you to gather together after worship on Sunday, January 26th, to hear the results of those forums and to consider a new and creative path that we are excited about and that I have begun to think of as Front Porch 2.0! Please mark your calendars for this event and plan to attend. Now is the time for all of us to go ALL IN for the future of Community of ChristChurch!

Holiday De-Decorating Party this Saturday Morning
You are invited to come to the church this Saturday morning at 9:30 am for a Holiday De-Decorating Party! We'll take the tree down and put away the Christmas decorations as we prepare for the New Year. Coffee and tea will be on. If you have left over holiday snacks and treats, bring them along to share!
Winter Session of Adult Faith Conversations
The Winter session of our Adult Faith Conversations will begin on Sunday, January 12th, at 10:45am. We are offering three opportunities again, this time.
Anke Brandstater is back with a new conversation called Soul Passages, based on the book, Nature and the Human Soul (no need to purchase the book). In this conversation, participants will explore a ‘soul-centric’ approach to the different phases we travel through along the journey of human life.
Chris Moore also returns to facilitate a conversation called Faith, Sexuality and the Church. In this conversation participants will discuss the various viewpoints within the church regarding sexual orientation and the role of marriage.
Rhonda Eppelsheimer (along with special guest co-facilitators) will continue to facilitate the weekly, topical Daily Faith conversations.
The Winter Session of Adult Faith Conversation will last from January 12th through March 2nd. Look for fuller descriptions of the conversations coming in early January and the first opportunity to sign up on Sunday, January 5th.

Thank you to all those who gave so generously to the Service and Missions Team donation drive to benefit the Bender family! Our goal was to raise $1,600 to $2,000. The final total was $2,475.00! This will certainly help the Benders weather this difficult period. Please continue to keep Karen and Bob and their kids, Shannon and Tommy, in your prayers.
