Prayer Chain Invitation

In times of need and celebration!

One of the ways we care for our sisters and brothers in Christ is by lifting them up in prayer, both in times of need and in celebration. We invite you to be intentional about lifting one another in prayer by joining the Community of ChristChurch Prayer Chain. When you are a part of the Community of ChristChurch e-mail prayer chain, the alert on your computer or mobile device that lets you know you’ve got mail may take on a whole new meaning. Energy, motion and the sounds of joy and wonder filled the building and spilled out into the parking lot as children and volunteers enjoyed VBS 2012.  Colorful T shirts and cute critters unified the various groups as they traveled to the various stations centered on the theme FLY.

Evenings started with dinners ably organized by Patrice Cameron so friends and families could relax and enjoy time together.  She had a good crew to help prepare and serve meals.   

Music led by the indomitable Brent Masterson, our new head of Student and Family ministry, and a talented band which included vocals and more led by the ebullient Rhonda Eppelsheimer provided energetic transitions.  Here, too, the catchphrase of the year “Trust God” was emphasized.  Parents were able to share the joy of seeing everyone enter wholeheartedly into the singing made complete with jumping, dancing and sign language at the beginning and end of each evening.   A slide show of the children was provided each day by skilled photographer Tom Roach.  Enthusiasm could not have been greater, and yet, with a simple hand sign, complete silence reigned!   (Read more)
