Service and Mission Team
June Barrel of the Month:
Jesus is Living Water

Like cold water to a weary soul
is good news from a distant land.

                         Proverbs 25:25

For the Service and Mission Team June Barrel of the Month we will be collecting bottled water to support summer mission projects. Please consider a donation of water bottles this month that will be used in conjunction with projects such as lunch at Shute park for children, VBS, providing a cool drink for the homeless in our community, and many other projects where we at ChristChurch are out in our communities serving others. Service and Mission would be grateful to accept both pre-filled recyclable water bottle packs or new refillable water bottles (BPA free please). Thank you!
Micro-Surfacing on NW Five Oaks Drive

Sometime between July 1st and August 28th, the City of Hillsboro will resurface NW Five Oaks Drive with micro-surfacing. On the day of application, the street will be closed between the hours of 7:00am – 5:00pm to vehicle traffic, on-street parking and foot traffic (foot traffic will be allowed on sidewalks only).

An exact date cannot be provided, but the contractor will place notices on the doors 36-72 hours prior to commencement of work.  Should we be notified in a timely manner, we will make every effort to inform ChristChurch members.

The next build day for ChristChurch is SATURDAY, July 8th, 2015.  We are in need of volunteers to help with construction (we have lunch covered for this date, thanks to Elsa Buchholz.  However, we will need someone to volunteer to provide lunch for Saturday, August 15th.).

If  you are able to help with the construction, if only for a few hours, please contact either:

                               John Heffner at heffnerjm@gmail.com or
                                  Larry Buchholz at cktdude@yahoo.com.

The Habitat site this year is again Allen Estates.
