Barrel of the Month Club
This Sunday we hope to meet or surpass our goal of 20 school backpacks. For July and early August we will collect school supplies to fill the backpacks. A list of school supplies can be found in the Entry.

Habitat Build Days
Thank You to all who came to the Habitat Build Days and to those who provided lunches. Your time and efforts are greatly appreciated by many.
Thank you, to the volunteers who have recently provided some TLC to the beds in front of the church building!

Mission Trip Opportunity
Camp Lutherwood: Oregon Adventure in Service – July 6-11
Oregon Adventure in Service offers an opportunity for high school and adult campers to serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a camp setting providing play, worship and relationship building. Campers will spend one day preparing for the guests, who will be at camp Monday through Wednesday, and the week ahead. Campers will end the week with a half day of rafting on the MacKenzie River.
This opportunity is open not only to our high school youth, but any adult in the congregation who would like to participate.
*Price:* $310 + $60 rafting = *$370 total*

Camp Lutherwood Day Camp is coming to Beaverton!!
St. Andrew Lutheran Church welcomes the energetic staff from Camp Lutherwood to lead us in a week of fun, songs, games, devotions, and more! If you would like your kids to attend a faith based day camp or if you would like to give them a feel for what the overnight camp would be like, than register today!
Dates: Monday, June 30th - Thursday, July 3rd
(there will be a pre-camp kickoff on Sunday, June 29th)
Time: 9am - 3pm
Ages: Ages 4 - entering 6th grade
(middle and high school students are also invited to be junior counselors)
Cost: $50.00 per camper (scholarships and multi child discounts are available)

Snakes!
We just wanted to let you all know that if you spot
a snake or two on or near our parking lot entrance, please don’t be alarmed.
They are probably not real!
We have placed a couple of rubber snakes near the entrance as the first
wave of an ongoing program we have initiated, and which we have dubbed PDI, or Peacock Defense Initiative. While these birds are beautiful creatures
of God and emit a haunting, melodic song… they also emit other things on to our sidewalks. So we are experimenting with some non-lethal approaches to keeping them off the property.

Camp Lutherwood to have Inaugural Oktoberfest Celebration and Fundraiser on Saturday, October 4th
As a fundraiser, Camp Lutherwood is asking congregations to put together a themed basket for the silent auction. Some examples of themes include but are not limited to: cooking, picnic, camp, Scandinavian, travel, gardening, Duck and/or Beaver, etc. The baskets should contain items totaling to a combined value of between $50 and $200. The goal of this event is to celebrate the summer and to raise funds for programming and site support. The goal is to raise at least $25,000!!!! Let's be a part of this fundraising event. The theme for ChristChurch will be
Gardening. If you would like to participate, Lucetta will have a box or a basket in the office in which you can place donations (ideas - a pair of gloves, a trowel, a kneeling pad, a watering bucket). Further information will be coming from Camp Lutherwood's Development Associate.
