VBS PLANNING MEETING
WEDNESDAY, MAY 15TH AT CC

We have hired Camp Lutherwood to assist in our VBS program this August.  Come join in the discussion on planning/volunteering and helping to make our new VBS format the best it can be.  We are excited to include an ALL church outreach service project and to offer VBS for FREE this year.  If you are unable to attend but would like information, please contact one of our VBS Team Leaders:  Julie Slack, Shanti Binder, Amy Henderson, or Joe Hustad.

Free to the public is the chance to hear Diana Butler Bass speak next Friday during the Annual ELCA Synod Assembly.  Diana is the author of the much acclaimed book:
Christianity After Religion.  Our Lenten series and many of the Belong, Behave, Believe references Pastor David has shared during services, are from this book.  If you are interested in attending, please contact Pastor David.  Our church representatives planning to attend are Pastor David, Council President- Rich Radford, and Rhonda Eppelsheimer.

        Final Weeks for Camping Reservations!

May 12, 19, and 26 are the last chances for reserving a camp site with the ChristChurch group at our ALL CHURCH CAMP OUT, August 23-24th.  Any un-reserved sites will be released  back to the Oregon State Parks after May 26. 

Camping is at L. L. "Stub" Stewart State Park between Buxton and Vernonia.  Many opportunities for you to enjoy, including: Frisbee golf, walking trails, bike trails, potluck, campfire, and worship service.  Contact Tom Roach at 503-846-1816 or Marcia Branch at 509-292-9310.

 A new format to our Annual Congregational Meeting- it will be incorporated into our Sunday, June 2nd, extended worship service starting at 9:30 AM.  Please plan to attend as the service will contain many additional elements:  review of the past year, voting to pass the budget and Council members, special Listening Team information and continued praise for all our ministries.  We also will be acknowledging our graduating seniors and will conclude the service with communion. 

*Activities will be planned for a portion of the time for our younger youth along with extended nursery care.
