COMING SOON!

Beginning this Sunday, May 31st - Congregational Vitality Survey
We have an opportunity to participate in a new project out of the ELCA that will help us take a snapshot of where we as a church are now and help us to determine how best to continue on this path. It’s called the Congregational Vitality Assessment (CVA). The CVA is a tool to assist congregational leadership to identify areas of strength and areas of opportunity with the hope of becoming a more vital congregation. This assessment or survey gathers information, offers analysis, and provides a foundation for missional planning. We are asking each person to fill out a one-page form and turn it in. We will offer this assessment tool in paper form (providing time during worship on Sunday, May 31st to fill it out) as well as an online survey (we will provide everyone with an internet link via Faith News on Sunday). We will have one week to collect all the surveys. After they have been submitted, we will receive the analysis within a few weeks. This will be a great tool to assist our new council as they engage the congregation in the fall about how best to move forward from here.

ALSO DURING WORSHIP ON SUNDAY, MAY 31ST...

Sunday, June 7th, after worship - Annual Congregational Meeting

Our annual Congregational Meeting will follow worship on Sunday, June 7th.

In addition to reflecting back on the year together, we will elect a new slate of  Church Council members and vote to approve our operating budget for the  2015-16 fiscal year.  Information about the new council nominees and the proposed budget is available now on the table next to the bulletin board in the Open Spirit Gallery.

The process is not complete without the voice and vote of every member of the congregation. We hope to see you all there!

Service and Mission Team
June Barrel of the Month:
Jesus is Living Water

Like cold water to a weary soul
is good news from a distant land.

                         Proverbs 25:25

For the Service and Mission Team June Barrel of the Month we will be collecting bottled water to support summer mission projects. Please consider a donation of water bottles this month that will be used in conjunction with projects such as lunch at Shute park for children, VBS, providing a cool drink for the homeless in our community, and many other projects where we at ChristChurch are out in our communities serving others. Service and Mission would be grateful to accept both pre-filled recyclable water bottle packs or new refillable water bottles (BPA free please). Thank you!

We are a group of women who are eager to build new friendships with other women in our church, strengthen the friendships we already have, and to serve God, each other, and our community.
