Summer Preaching Series Information
Our summer preaching series will be based on the book "Breathing Underwater: Spirituality and the Twelve Steps" by Father Richard Rohr. We will begin with the introductions chapter and read a chapter each week. Stay after worship for prayer and conversation on the book.
We have purchased enough books for every family to have one. They will be available this Sunday for distribution.

Women In God's Service (
WINGS) invites you to a Labyrinth walk on Thursday, May 19th.
Meet at the church at 6:15pm to carpool Cindy Kinnie’s home. We will walk the Labyrinth and learn more about it. |

Current financial printouts are available for your review on the table outside the Commons. Our Treasurer, Rich Radford will be available to answer any questions after worship this Sunday. |

Branches & ChristChurch
On Sunday April 24th the Branches board voted to dissolve the Branches Hillsboro campus. Branches Hillsboro had their last service on May 1, 2016 at our church.
Please keep our brothers and sisters from Branches in your prayers.

Community Event:
Newberg First United Methodist Church to host a pair of free concerts
Come experience sacred music in many styles, from many eras, from around the world!
The first concert is the Boston University School of Theology Seminary Singers on May 18, 2016 at 7 p.m.
The second concert is the the Africa University Choir, a group of 16 students from four countries in Africa on May 14 at 7 p.m. Africa University is a United Methodist related institution located in Old Mutare, Zimbabwe. The institution opened in 1992 with 40 students and currently has enrollment of over 1,300 students.
Both concerts will be held at 1205 Deborah Road in Newberg, OR.
