Our Guitar Geezers (aka Grateful We’re Not Dead!) are offering free guitar lessons to people of all ages and abilities. Have you always wanted to know how to play the guitar? Do you want to dust off the old six-string and join in on the family Christmas caroling this holiday season? Come join us at the church on Sunday, October 21^st, at 5:00pm for an hour of music and fun. Please enter the building through the Student Ministry door. We look forward to seeing you there!

Faith Conversation Facilitators WANTED!

Would you be interested in facilitating one of our Adult Faith Conversations? Is there a faith topic or book study you would be interested in exploring for a seven week session? Please contact Sally Roach by e-mail (sallytomroach@yahoo.com) or by phone (503-846-1816). We are nearing the middle of October and our first round of Adult Faith Conversation Opportunities will be wrapping up by the end of the month. Our task force is hard at work, planning for the winter session of Adult Faith Conversations that will begin on Sunday, January 20th, 2013. If you are interested in facilitating but don't have a particular topic in mind, let us know. We know of some wonderful resources that might be just what your looking for.

It has been a joy to see people of all ages engaging with one another around faith and the Bible during our Faith Conversations hour.  Thank you to Sally Roach, our Adult Faith Conversations Chairperson, and to our facilitators, Rhonda Eppelsheimer, Steve Gross, Chris Moore, Ray Oeltjen and Bill Severson for helping to make our Fall season such a great experience!

College Fair and Workshop - Saturday, October 20th

 High School students and their parents are invited to St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Beaverton for a College Fair and Financial Aid Seminar beginning at 2:00pm on Saturday, October 20^th. Representatives from Lutheran colleges around the country will be there to answer your questions and share the unique opportunities for higher education available to you. Discover a group of colleges that has faith in your future. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served. Also, all families attending this College Fair will receive four Application Fee Waivers (up to a $75 value each!) applicable for any Lutheran College/University listed on the fee waiver. This event is sponsored in part by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Foundation.

for our outreach mission of dispersing support bags to those less fortunate in our area.

Items needed: warm gloves, hats, scarves, socks, hand warmers, individual box drinks, Vienna sausages (at the $ store), crackers and peanut butter or crackers and cheese.

Don’t have time to shop? Donations accepted and we will do the shopping for you! Please make checks out to Community of ChristChurch and put KRINGLE in the memo line. Bring to the display in the Entry through October!
