The predictions may indeed come true.
In 2011 Creativity cut its ties with HarperCollins Publishers in order to offer the Design Annual to our customers without significantly raising prices. Design, Production & Shipping costs what they are we could not continue "business as usual" and still offer this fantastic publication.
But...sales are not where they need to be to warrant continuing with the publication. Creativity strives to stay relevant and give designers, advertisers, marketers, in houses and design students the self promotion they need and want.
Maybe the book is irrelevant - maybe the app, online promotion and the traveling exhibit are sufficient?
Personally, I LOVE it when the advances come in and looking at the AWESOME cover design and flipping through the 400+ pages of fantastic design winners - and I think all of you do too judging by phone calls and emails received about how great this latest edition is.
We need to hear from YOU! If you want to see this beautiful design book continue in its printed form - I challenge you to post it, blog it, tweet it, let your colleagues, design association members, designer friends and aspiring designers know about this book and most importantly - BUY IT!
We only have 1500 copies available to sell globally so this should be EASY!
