Hello,

Welcome to the first Daydream Excursions Insider Travel Tips newsletter.   Thanks to those of you who receive my vendor sponsored offers.  Insider Travel Tips will focus on useful knowledge and tips for my readers without being too "sales-ey".  Insider Travel Tips is not a thinly veiled sales promotion or "deal sheet"...how is that newsworthy?

Several of you have previously helped me select travel topics to include here and in my blog.  Please contact me with any suggestions about what you want to see here.

This week's article will feature Alaska, also known as "The Great Land."

Warm regards,

P.S. Welcome to your Insider Travel Tips newsletter!
P.P.S. Thanks to travel guest Heather for her great editorial insights!

Pam and I had a great time on our Holland America cruise to Alaska.

Everything was beautiful, just like you described.  I especially enjoyed the kayak excursion and Sitka.  Pam loved the glaciers, totems, and Victoria.  Thanks so much for the gift reservation to the Pinnacle Restaurant...

Thanks for arranging this cruise for us.  It was great!  We definitely will do it again.  I [have] attach[ed] a few of our pictures for your scrapbook.

We are looking forward to our August cruise to the Baltic.  Thanks for handling our travel plans for that one too.

  • Highest concentration of bear and bald eagles on earth and more caribou than people

Alaska Cruises start at 7 Days Round trip or Northbound and Southbound one-way itineraries with available land-tours to combine the best of land and sea.

There are three basic ways to "do" Alaska:

1) Round trip cruise from Seattle or Vancouver (limited  cruises from San Francisco):
