Online employee reviews on job search sites have long been helpful tools for employees, but top corporate leaders are increasingly finding them essential.

Compensation Committee Strategies in a Trump Era

There are lots of signals coming from the new administration in Washington, but wholesale changes to laws such as Dodd-Frank aren’t likely, at least not overnight. That doesn’t mean compensation committees shouldn’t be prepared and agile.
Compensation committees must set priorities based on the most likely issues they will have to address, and here is guidance on where to place bets and allocate time and resources on key issues:

Dodd-Frank won’t likely be going away any time soon. Talk about repealing Dodd-Frank made effective campaign fodder, and as a result compensation committees have expended considerable time determining how best to comply with associated regulations.

Executives Not Confident in Employee Ethics

This month is the 15-year anniversary of the groundbreaking financial regulation Sarbanes-Oxley expected to improve corporate ethics, but unfortunately few executives have a high confidence their employees are doing the right thing.

Those are the findings of a recently released report from Deloitte that found “only 32.5% of C-suite and other execs polled are highly confident their organizations’ employees will report unethical behavior.”

The report, which surveyed more than 900 executive, revealed that despite regulations, employees face challenges when it comes to compliance because of:
