Children's Tournament at the St. Paul dojo

The Children's karate tournament will be held at the St Paul dojo of Saturday, May 15th. This event is open to all kids ages 5 -14.  As in past years, there will be several other AAKF clubs invited to participate.  Information and registration can be found here:

We prefer that all participants pre-register for this event, so if you plan on competing, please get your registration to Sensei Ertl by this Thursday.

Results from the
AAKF Regional Elimination Tournament

The North Central Regional eliminations for the AAKF National Tournament were held on Friday May 7th at the St Paul dojo.

The quality of the competition was very high and everyone who participated has qualified to compete at the National Tournament in Seattle on June 10 and 11th.

Michaela Magler was unable to compete, but was qualified by recommendation.

Joel Ertl and Amy Sperling also qualified to go as a judge.

AAKF National Tournament and Mini-camp

The 49th National Championship, Mini-Camp will take place in Seattle, Washington from June 9 - 12 according to the schedule below.  As you can see, you can train at this national event, meet and convene with other karate-ka and compete in the Championship Tournament or cheer your fellow karate-ka on.
 
June 9 & 10 - National Mini-Camp - open to all members, taught by the top instructors in the country.
 
June 11 - Judges seminar in the morning and Eliminations for Championship Tournament in the evening.
 
June 12 - Kyu level adult competition and children's competition in the morning and Final Rounds of Championship Tournament in the afternoon.
 
In addition, Dan examinations and judges examinations will be given.  The Board of Governors Meeting (each club can send 1 representative),Technical Board Meeting and Board of Directors' Meeting will all take place during this time.
 
More information will be forthcoming soon from the Tournament Host regarding lodging and registration.
