Jane Jasperson
Promoted to 3rd Dan!!
This weekend's seminar with Sensei Smaby and Sensei Fusaro was a tremendous success. Sensei Fusaro's sessions emphasized body dynamics connected to breathing. Sensei Smaby broke down the applications to the kata Bassai-dai. Sensei's knowlege of the practical application of our karate techniques is an incredible experience, and everyone at the seminar came away with a deeper understanding of this kata.
Jane Jasperson was promoted to 3rd degree black belt at the Dan Examination held at the seminar. Jane performed the kata "Hangetsu" beautifully, and then demonstrated some of the applications to this difficult kata. The teaching portion of her test was also impressive as she demonstrated her depth of understanding and ability to improve a student's technique.
The students at the St Paul dojo know of the struggles that Jane has endured, and we all wish to extend her a well deserved congratulations.

Karate Uniforms now available
The new heavyweight karate uniforms are available now. For those that pre-ordered their uniforms, you will receive them soon. If you want to purchase a uniform the cost is $140. Remember this price includes custom sizing and your name embroidered on the lapel.

Next Kyu Exam
The next kyu examination will be given by Sensei Fusaro on Saturday, November 28th (12:30 pm).
