Introducing FCS Principal, Corey Waters

Hello Everyone!

FCS has been blessed with the addition of Corey Waters as Principal of our school.  Mr. Waters has a great vision for the future of our school, with a heavy emphasis on our history.  I encourage you to get to know Mr. Waters.  He has an inspiring testimony, is a dynamic preacher, and a wonderful family man!

Dear Alumnus,

I just want to take a moment of your time to introduce myself. My name is Corey L. Waters and I am currently the principal of Fairwinds Christian School. Exciting things are happening at FCS. We have picked a theme for this year, “Got Balance?” It comes from Proverbs 11:1, “A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.” Our goal is to live a balanced Christian life.

This year we have established a student body council to promote student leadership in the school. Training students to be leaders now will inevitably help our country later. Our student body council is heading up community outreaches every month including such things as working at the Delaware Food Bank, community clean up on Seymour Road, and visiting nursing homes. The students are excited about opportunities to minister grace to our community.

Our sports teams are young but very promising. Our boys’ soccer team came in third place this year. Our girls’ volleyball team has been commended on their good Christian character. Mr. Factor and his son Jer. coach the boys’ basketball and Janelle Factor is the coach for the girls. It promises to be an exciting season.

Academically we are surpassing the national average in almost every category. Our students are getting accepted into colleges such as University of Kansas, Liberty University, Nyack College, Kings College, Pensacola Christian College, Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades, Geneva College, Tennessee Temple University, University of Delaware, West Coast Bible College, Gordon College, Trinity Baptist Bible College, Penn State, The Art Institute of Dallas, The University of the Sciences, and Miami International University of Art and Design.

My vision is to create an atmosphere at FCS that will unite our past in order to strengthen our future. I believe that in order to grow we must evaluate where we are going by examining where we have been! I would love to hear from you about your past experiences at FCS, and any suggestions you have to improve what we do.  Please feel free to email me at watersfcs@gmail.com .

Sincerely,

Corey L. Waters

Please keep in mind that the 2011 Homecoming is fast approaching.  We had a good turnout from the Alumni last year, but my goal is to at least double our representation at the event.  Please contact me for details or suggestions.  I would love to hear from everyone!

Hope to see you all soon,,
