A recent article from the Washington Post cautioned readers against sharing too much information with strangers after a car accident, in this age of identity theft.
The National Association of Insurance Commissioners has created some helpful resources with tips on how to take steps to protect yourself, your property and your identity following an auto accident. The NAIC's Insure U "Get Smart About Insurance" site also has a "WreckCheck" app that you can download to your iPhone or Android smartphone. The new app outlines what to do immediately following an accident and walks users through a step-by-step process to create their own accident report. "I am writing this in appreciation of Fidelity Associates' program called Workwell. In order to reduce our medical costs, a health screening was done in our workplace to measure blood pressure, weight and basic blood work.
I knew I was overweight and had started Weight Watchers on the Sunday before the screening. During the screening, I found out that I had dangerously high blood pressure readings. They suggested that I see a Doctor as soon as possible, and I made an appointment for the following Monday. The Doctor put me on a hypertension drug which has normalized my blood pressure.
The Weight Watchers program has been a huge success as I have now lost 20+ pounds. I feel better and it is easier to move. I am eating much healthier now, including lots of fruits and vegetables. My job tends to be sedentary, siting at a desk working on a computer all day. I am now going for a walk most days during my lunch hour.

"I was born in Spokane and very blessed to have been raised in the south Spokane Valley. My family farmed about 40 acres, raising 'every blooming thing'. Loving the area so much, I raised my two daughters not far from my family roots. I enjoy spending time with my girls, hanging out with friends, love the outdoors and relaxing at our family cabin in Montana."
