We are your trusted advisor for your car, home and business protection. We have a full service Financial Services Department that can help you with group medical insurance, life, disability, long-term care and estate protection.

FUN FALL FACTS! |
When fall approaches, the green-colored food-making chlorophyll of plants is no longer needed, which is what leaves us with the other colors that had been overpowered all summer long: Beautiful reds, oranges, yellows, and even purples!
In order to know which way to go when they fly south, birds use a variety of techniques such as the position of the sun or the stars, and big landmarks like lakes, rivers or mountains! |

| Project Beauty Share - Community Spotlight |
 |
|
Project Beauty Share is a local charitable organization created by Julie Farley, proprietor of The Make-Up Studio in downtown Spokane. Project Beauty Share is an initiative to collect cosmetic, beauty and personal products and distribute them through local community agencies to women of all ages who find themselves lacking the means to afford these items.
Julie's lengthy experience in providing tools for women to feel good about themselves, to brighten their spirits and to greet each day on a positive note led her to understand that there are many among us whose circumstances do not support feelings of self-esteem nor the abilities to interact successfully with the world outside their doors. Julie had an idea, and she created Project Beauty Share to help women in need in our community find stability, work opportunities and success in their lives.
Project Beauty Share exists because most cosmetics, beauty products, hygiene products, shampoos, even soap and toothbrushes cannot be purchased with food stamps, and most women's shelters and other charitable organizations are so strapped for funds that they must ration simple daily necessities like toilet paper.
Project Beauty Share has recently partnered with KXLY and Northwest Harvest to expand the scope of their annual "Can You Spare a Square" toilet paper drive in late September that routinely collects and distributes many thousands of rolls of TP.
Project Beauty Share is always in in need of product donations and volunteers to assist in organizing, sorting and sanitizing these donations. It's easy to help: please go to www.projectbeautyshare.org for more information and to contact Julie. |

| Meet Ryan Jones |
 |
| Ryan Jones, 2nd from right |
Welcome to Ryan Jones, who recently joined our Administrative team!
"I recently graduated from Washington State University and am very excited to be a part of the Fidelity team. Getting the chance to work with my father (Craig), uncle (Scott) and many others in the office who I have grown up around is special. I continue to learn things every day and become more comfortable with my job duties.
In my free time, I enjoy golf, watching sports, running, listening to music and going to WSU games. Running has really become one of my hobbies over the last year and I plan on racing in a half marathon this fall. I also enjoy spending time up at the Northern Idaho lakes, specifically CDA and Priest." |
| Tomato Soup Recipe |
Here's a great, simple soup recipe to use up your fresh summer tomatoes!
Tomato Soup - (Martha Stewart)
Makes about 6 cups
6 TBSP butter
2 medium chopped yellow onions
2 cloves chopped garlic
2 lbs fresh tomatoes, peeled & chopped; or 24 ounces canned whole tomatoes
3 cups chicken stock
Salt/pepper and a touch of red pepper (optional)
Large bunch of fresh basil
Melt butter in large saucepan over medium low. Add onions and garlic, stir, and cook for about 15 minutes.
Add tomatoes, chicken stock, salt & pepper. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low, for about 15-20 minutes.
Working in batches, transfer soup to blender with fresh basil and puree until smooth. Return to pan and place over medium heat until warm. (Can add extra stock if too thick.)
