Hi!
Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth.

How can I fast track my qualification?

An RPL process or RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING is a legitimate way of gaining your desired qualification through a ‘FAST-TRACK’ process. The recognition process is the process of recognising the required skills and knowledge obtained by an individual through previous or current training, work experience and or life experience. You may have heard terms such as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC). These are both terms that describe the recognition process.

A great deal of learning takes place outside classrooms, training schools and formal courses. A competency based system recognises this and provides individuals with the opportunity to: Have their skills and knowledge assessed without regard to where and how they have been acquired; and Obtain formal recognition of skills and knowledge in the form of a Qualification or Statement of Attainment. The recognition process is about making sure that existing knowledge and skills are recognised and that the individual does not have to relearn what they already know and can do. For competency to be recognised the applicant still has to provide evidence to an assessor. The assessor has to make sure that the evidence proves competency of the applicant. Garwen Education RPL Information Booklet Revision: 1 March 2010 Page 3 of 7 to do this the evidence needs to be: Current (what you can do now); Sufficient (more than one type); Authentic (you can prove it’s your work); Related to the competency standards you are being assessed on; Flexible (it takes any special considerations you may have into consideration.

OBSERVANCES

In June

June 6th 1859 –Queensland Day

As the push for separation gained momentum, Queen Victoria was approached to consider establishing a separate colony based at Moreton Bay. The Queen gave her approval and signed the Letters Patent on 6 June 1859. On the same day an Order-in-Council gave Queensland its own Constitution

June 14th - World Blood Donor Day

Is day dedicated to "thanking and celebrating voluntary non-remunerated blood donors". It occurs on June 14, the birthday of Karl Landsteiner, the creator of the ABO blood group system, for which he won the Nobel Prize. The first day was held in 2005. One of the main goals of the World Blood Donor Day is to ensure the availability of 'safe blood' for transfusion.

June 1stFoundation Day (Western Australia)

Foundation Day, officially 1 June, but celebrated on the first Monday in June, is a public holiday in Western Australia (WA), commemorating the foundation of the Swan River Colony in 1829. Because of the celebration of Foundation Day, Western Australia is the only State or Territory of Australia which does not celebrate the Queen's (or King's) Birthday Holiday in June — it is held in September or October instead.

CUSTOMER SERVICE TIP

TREAT ALL PEOPLE LIKE CUSTOMERS

If you are a manager, then every person in your command is an internal customer. If you are a CEO then every person within the organisation is an internal customer. If you make a decision, or write a memo, or process an invoice, your work has to be acted on by someone else before it will benefit the external customer, stakeholders or the company.

THEREFORE, treat the people who work for you and with you with the same respect you would treat any external client

FEATURE ARTICLE

Given the behavior of many companies worldwide toward both their staff and customers over the past decade I don’t find it surprising that Entrepreneurship is becoming so widely demanded in Colleges and universities across the world. For example, one source estimates that 460 million people worldwide will start a new business or become the owners of a new business annually (Reynolds et al 2002). Entrepreneurship is the fastest growing field of study in tertiary education in North America and Europe (Bygrave 2004) and fifteen specialised journals disseminate research on the topic globally. With the economic climate the way it is and unlikely to change in the near future isn’t it worth considering starting or buying a business? After all we couldn’t be as bad as the high paid executives that were in charge of our destiny when so many companies went bust!
