Helping Hand for the Holiday
Emergency Services for Families in Need
Euclid Fire Department made the gracious decision to adopt 4 families for the holiday.  Fire Captain Will Anderson contacted the Collab with the good news and escorted us along with Euclid Firefighters from each station to the families home.  The families received items from their wish list consisting of baby dolls, footballs, boots and much more... To top it all off, the gifts were delivered on the fire engine.  We would like to send a big THANK YOU the Euclid Fire Department on behalf of our families for a great day and wonderful memories.  Please click the link below to read the story by The News-Herald.  http://www.news-herald.com/articles/2012/12/20/news/nh6346581.txt
Toy Drive
Euclid Family Y Annual Toy Drive
Every year we depend on the generous donations of our Collab members, Toys for Tots, Citizens, and Local Government Agencies to help us distribute gifts to our families.  This year, with your help, we provided holiday assistance to over 250 families.  This included toys, food baskets from Euclid High School, Shoes and Clothes for Kids distribution and much more...  In fact with everyone's support the Collab was able to adopt an Aging Out of Care youth from the Division of Children and Family Services for Christmas.  We supplied the youth with cleaning supplies, clothing, gift cards and more...

Getting Back in the Habit
The Division of Children and Family Services Foster/Adoptive parent support groups were suspended for the majority of 2012.  WE'RE BACK!  Santa visited all the foster/adoptive youth at our holiday support group.  The children received gifts and took a photo with the man himself.  Our Collaborative is happy to announce that our first official meeting of the year with new partners Cleveland Heights/University Heights and East Cleveland will be Monday January 7, 2013 6-pm at the Hillcrest Y 5000 Mayfield Rd., Lyndhurst, Ohio 44124.  Please contact Robert Pruitt 216-731-7454 or rpruitt@clevelandymca.org for further details.
