Yin Yoga
Struggling with flexibility? Struggle no more. Most physical yoga styles, such as Vinyasa, Bikram and
Power yoga, emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our
muscles.Yin Yoga is the perfect
complement to these styles of yoga and to active exercise activities such as
running, because it targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments,
bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very
much in a more active style of asana practice.
Yin Yoga is not the same as restorative or
gentle yoga.Instead, the poses are held
from one to ten minutes and your quest is to activate your breath (prana)
within the stillness of the poses to find your ease and strength.Typical poses practiced in Yin Yoga are
versions of Cobra, Pidgeon, Bound Angle, Camel, Seated Straddle and Forward
Fold.
This yoga style requires your patience and suspension of ego; it will leave you refreshed, brimming with renewed patience and zen; feeling stronger in your yoga practice.
Customers Speak Out!
" When I wear my Aum pendant, I feel centered. And every time I wear it, I get comments from friends and strangers alike: 'that pendant is beautiful - where did you get it?' and 'are you really into yoga?'
And I love telling them that yes I am into yoga and my
yoga instructor is also the creator of the pendant. Not only is Crys an
inspiring yoga instructor, she is a wonderful artist."
