Podcasts come with a built in audience. Recently the Cooperative for Education sent the "Stuff You Should Know" crew, who host a podcast with over 300,000 listeners, to Guatemala. They recorded a series of podcasts about the work that the Cooperative for Education is doing there and thanks to their promotion on the podcast and information on their blog, "Stuff You Should Know" helped them raise $6,000 in two weeks.
"Using Give by Cell, we were able to give "Stuff You Should Know" Podcast's enormous audience the immediate opportunity to help kids in Guatemala, $5 at a time. We raised more than $6,000 in two weeks, all from new donors," stated Ann Dempsey, Development Manager for the Cooperative for Education (www.coeduc.org).
