How can a cell phone help your visitors learn about the past?

The Clark County Historical Museum in Vancouver, Washington is hosting a new exhibit titled “Road to Equality.” Detailing the struggle for women’s rights in the Northwest United States, the exhibit showcases early settlers of the region, through Woman’s Suffrage all the way to the Equal Rights movement of the 20th century. An integral component of this exhibit is a cell phone audio tour.

“It's new to our community. When we opened the exhibit, people were using the cell phone audio tour right off the bat,” said Executive Director Susan Tissot.

Mobile technology also raises your museum's visibility. "Local reporters are thrilled with Guide by Cell,” said Susan. Click below to see some of the press coverage:

Exhibit at Historical Museum Focuses on Women's Rights in the Northwest

Mobile technology makes creating and implementing cell phone audio tours quick and simple. It’s easy for people to use and it you might be surprised at how quickly your visitors will take advantage of it.

I would love to schedule some time to talk with you about how mobile technology can enhance your historical exhibits.

Best regards,
